Danske Fund Eastern Europe: Overview
The Danske Fund Eastern Europe invests in equities of countries in the Eastern Europe that joined the European Union in 2004 and in countries currently in negotiations on the EU’s eastern enlargement. Investments are also made in countries bordering the eastern rim of the EU that are expected to profit from the region becoming wealthier. The main countries include Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
The value of the Fund is dependent on the performance of the equity markets in Eastern Europe and is therefore likely to fluctuate substantially in the short term. The Fund’s benchmark index is the Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged TMI® Index.
